ClubIssue 17: 31st July 2020 – Advice for fun, football and finances

Hello members and friends,

I hope you are all enjoying this weather and getting out (masked up!) for some fresh air and exercise.

We have had loads of feedback about how members and the kids, in particular, are getting into the Lockdown Challenge, with plenty of video entries coming in. And it’s not too late – Your week 1 videos were due at 5 pm today but enter a video in 3 out of the 4 weeks and you’re still in with a chance! EVERYBODY that does this receives something.

Hopefully, you are all into your short virtual training sessions with your coaches – this is a fun way to connect with your coach and team and here is an example of what one team did  – the toilet paper challenge – it was also featured on Football Victoria’s social media!

Remember, your coaches are still exploring what works for your team so please be patient or provide some positive suggestions to your manager and coach to help us all improve the sessions.

I’d also like to reiterate the sentiments of the Football Victoria President and CEO today – we remain determined to have football happening before the end of 2020 provided it is safe to do so – it just might be in a different format than what we are used to.

And finally, a shout out to all of our sponsors (and this week’s sponsor spotlight) who have committed to support us through this challenging period – so please support them as it really helps the Club ensure we can improve your experience and keep fees as low as we can.

Keep safe. Keep connected. #stayathome
